Steven + Anna Renn Norvell // Wedding

Although this wedding day was the first of my COVID-19 affected weddings, it will hands down always be one of my favorite smaller and altered wedding days, and I dare say that it was sweeter and more special than the bride & groom ever could have planned originally… Anna Renn & Steven got married on March 28th, about two weeks into the worldwide pandemic starting which made them completely change their plans the week of their wedding. After several phone calls and decisions made, they decided that even though they couldn't have the big wedding they originally planned, they knew that at the end of the day they just wanted to become husband and wife as soon as possible. So, they moved their day to Steven's family's lake-house property, where they have countless memories with each other and Steven's family, and had about 40 of their closest friends and family members present for their wedding day - and let me just say it was absolutely amazing & incredibly meaningful! All hands were on deck for their day - their parents served the guests dinner and helped everyone get ready, get flowers and decor set up, and so much more. It was sweet to see the people they love in their bridal party serve and care for them throughout the day, and everyone was emotional as Anna Renn & Steven became husband and wife. The night before her wedding day, Anna Renn baked her own wedding cake and then cut and served it for everyone all while her mom read a poem she found that Anna Renn wrote about loving to bake when she was a little girl. A fun addition to the day included Anna Renn & her girls walking and dancing barefoot all day long including her and Steven's mom's! We were able to convey their love for each other and the sweet memories they’ve made by taking some intimate and fun sunset bride and groom portraits all around the lake house. They danced around in the backyard until the sun went down and exited on their ski boat at the end of the night while the groomsmen shot off fireworks from the dock. Overall, it was such a sweet, romantic, fun and intimate day celebrating these two becoming husband and wife & start their life together!
