Aly + Davis Banks // Intimate Wedding at Lake Keowee

I was so honored to be a part of Aly & Davis's intimate wedding at The Reserve at Lake Keowee this spring. It was such a special day celebrating with the two of them, their immediate families and close friends in such a beautiful setting!  Aly and Davis endured so many changes to what they had planned and envisioned for their wedding day in the months leading up to their day during the peak of quarantine, and I just have to brag on Aly because she truly handled it with so much grace through the process of cancellations and replanning. I’m pretty sure the way their day worked out was the backup plan Z by the time we actually got to this day, but I kid you not this day was beyond perfect and so fun and personal and emotional and meaningful and filled with favor on Davis & Aly as they entered into marriage with their closest people by their side. In a last minute change of plans, their wedding was moved to The Reserve at Lake Keowee where they got married in the sweet stone chapel and had a lovely dinner and danced the night away on the great lawn overlooking the scenic mountains and lake as the sun set. I also have to mention that these two and their families are some of the kindest and most joyful people I have ever worked with! Side note - I found out on the night before the wedding - mine and Aly's dad's used to be pretty good friends and we had no idea until I showed up to shoot the rehearsal dinner! They had about 50 or so of their closest friends and family members at their wedding & it was the perfect amount of people to party with them and celebrate, but also was intimate and so personal with each of these people being handpicked to be there once they had to decrease their numbers and change plans. The entire day was filled with nothing but love, gratitude and happiness from the people that were there to celebrate this wonderful couple. Aly had such a calm and peaceful spirit all day as she took in every sweet moment from giving her mom a thoughtful gift, doing first looks with her dad & brothers, her bridesmaids emotionally praying over her before the ceremony, Davis seeing her for the first time as she walked down the aisle, and some sweet toasts from dear family members and friends at dinner. All of these moments and more were so meaningful and celebratory of Aly & Davis's story and them finally becoming husband and wife. Even in the midst of a worldwide pandemic, Aly was all class and had simply beautiful and romantic details for her day including her custom designed wedding dress from White on Daniel Island, which was stunning on her! Aly is the type of person that puts thought into everything she does and her wedding day reflected that in everything & everyone that was there! It has been so much fun working with Aly & Davis over the past year and I cannot wait to see where life takes them!
