Alex + Brian Bird // Charlotte, NC Wedding

I'm excited to share this fun wedding day from last fall on the blog because I'm a huge fan of this couple - everyone meet Alex and Brian Bird! These two are not only so cute and fun loving together, but they are incredibly kind, genuine, down to earth, always down to have a good time kind of people! Somehow Alex found me on Instagram after they got engaged and booked me to shoot their wedding last year. I went up to Charlotte for their engagement pictures the first time I met these two and it felt like we had known each other for a while. We grabbed some margs and a few tequila shots later we were having a grand time taking their pictures around Charlotte! I knew after that day that their wedding day would be so easy and sweet to capture because the love just bursts out of these two when they are together, making my job so easy! This day was really special to them and their families as their wedding was in the middle of the city with their church being directly across the street from their reception venue at the Mint Museum. It was so fun being able to walk from one place to the other throughout their day! They spent the morning together getting ready and taking pictures with their best friends and families before their afternoon ceremony and then they had a big welcome and cocktail hour and reception with their friends and family. It was super fun for them to get to have the cocktail hour to say hey to their guests as both of their families live in different states. They danced the night away inside the museum (which was just the coolest ever) to all the classics, including some personal Céline Dion favorites of mine! We snuck away for some rooftop bride & groom portraits as the sun set over the city which may have been one of my favorite moments from that day. This day was so fun, stylish, and elegant and I loved getting to be a part of it with Mr. and Mrs. Bird!
